Use unsanded grout for gaps 1/8" (3mm) or smaller—it is smoother and easier to work into narrow joints. Use sanded grout for gaps wider than 1/8" as the sand prevents cracking in larger joints.
Apply grout diagonally across tile joints with a rubber float. Let it set 15–20 minutes (not fully cure), then wipe excess with a damp sponge. Use a toothpick for tight corners. Seal after 48–72 hours.
Grout becomes firm in 15–20 minutes and workable for cleanup in 20–30 minutes. Full cure takes 24–72 hours for sanded/unsanded grout. Epoxy grout cures in 24 hours and reaches full chemical resistance in 7 days.
