Gas Mark is a temperature scale used primarily in British recipes. Gas Mark 1 equals 275°F (135°C) and each increment adds 25°F, so Gas Mark 4 is 350°F (177°C) and Gas Mark 6 is 400°F (204°C). Half-marks exist too: Gas Mark 1/4 is 225°F and Gas Mark 1/2 is 250°F.
